About Us
It gives us great pleasure to introduce ourselves, our names are Nadine Vermeulen and Rebecca DiManno.
Our lives were forever changed when our sons suffered their strokes but it was through that trauma that fate had us meet. Our friendship has been built by our mutual understanding of our situations, the late night pep talks and our gratefulness for our families.
We refer to ourselves as "Strong Moms", but really, we had no other choice than to be strong in our situations.
Over the years we have talked a lot about what we've learned thus far, and what we'd like to see "changed" in the Pediatric Stroke and ABI community, and through these talks, Achieving Beyond Brain Injury (ABBI) was created.
Achieving Beyond Brain Injury is a registered Canadian Charitable Foundation established June 26, 2020
